Dr. Gloria Shamanoff

Dr. Shamanoff, assistant superintendent, has been in education since 1974. She was an elementary teacher in Fort Wayne Community Schools for sixteen years. In 1990, she joined the NACS corporation family as principal at Huntertown Elementary School before assuming the current position in 2000. She graduated from the University of Saint Francis with both a B.S. and M.S. degree in Education and furthered her studies with a doctorate in education administration from Ball State University.

Dr. Shamanoff's concentration in the current position is elementary curriculum with a passion for books and reading. She models the importance of reading and books by sharing picture books with children at each elementary school and the Youth Services Center monthly during the school year known as "Dr. S's Story Time". She has become known as the "story lady".

Her personal motto has been - Learning to Care, Caring to Learn.
