REGULAR MEETING

The Northwest Allen County Board of School Trustees met in regular session on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Central Office Board Room. Members present: Kent Somers, Ron Felger, Steve Bartkus and Kristi Schlatter. Liz Hathaway was absent. Also present: Chris Himsel, Gloria Shamanoff, Bill Mallers, Lisa Harris, staff, students, patrons and reporters.

Motions herewith mentioned are unanimous unless otherwise stated.

President Kent Somers called the meeting to order. Motion to approve the minutes of the June 5, 2017 executive session and regular meeting and the June 16, 2017 executive session as presented by Ron Felger; seconded by Steve Bartkus. Motion carried.

A. BUSINESS REPORT

A. CORPORATION PURCHASES Capital Projects Fund $127,244.00. Motion to approve by Kristi Schlatter; seconded by Ron Felger. Motion carried.

B. CORPORATION PAYMENTS Building Corporation Payments $66,646.00. Motion to approve by Steve Bartkus; seconded by Ron Felger. Motion carried.

Motion to approve claims and payroll, subject to audit, by Ron Felger; seconded by Steve Bartkus. Motion carried.

Board Comments: Kent Somers offered condolences to Lisa Feichter for her recent loss. Mr. Somers thanked Kristi Hurley for her years of service to NACS.

Audience Comments: None

Superintendent's Comments: Chris Himsel welcomed Caleb Miner to NACS and thanked everyone involved with the interview process. Mr. Miner stated that he is looking forward to working at NACS.
