REGULAR MEETING

The Northwest Allen County Board of School Trustees met in regular session on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 7;00 p.m. in the Central Office Board Room. Members present: Mary Wysong, Paul Sloffer, Ron Felger and Kent Somers. John Hilger was absent. Also present: Chris Himsel, Gloria Shamanoff, Bill Mallers, Lisa Harris, staff, students, patrons and reporters.

Motions herewith mentioned are unanimousunless otherwise stated.

President Mary Wysong called the meeting to order. Motion to approve the minutes of the March 10, 2014 regular meeting as presented by Paul Sloffer; seconded by Ron Felger. Motion carried.

K.GIFT/GRANT/DONATION ACCEPTANCE Tonya Pickett, Carroll High Assistant Principal, requested permission to accept a Perkins Grant in the amount of $25,391.50 to be used for Career and Technical Education programming and Project Lead the Way Pathways in Biomedical Sciences and Engineering.   1. SNS AGREEMENT Recommended approval of the enclosed SNS Shared Employee Agreement effective 7/1/14. Motion to approve by Kent Somers; seconded by Ron Felger. Motion carried.

  1. BUS PURCHASE Recommend the purchase of a 2011 GM/Collins 14-passenger activity bus for $28,807 from Midwest Transit Equipment as part of the 2014 Bus Replacement Plan. Motion to approve by Ron Felger; seconded by Paul Sloffer. Motion carried.
  2. CORPORATION PURCHASESBuilding Corporation Purchases - Series 2013 Bond Issue - $321,329.00. Motion to approve by Paul Sloffer; seconded by Kent Somers. Motion carried.
