Welcome Box
This box is located to the right of current events calendar on the homepage. Along with a welcome message from Superintendent Chris Himsel, this box contains NACS core beliefs, vision and mission.
Global Icons
These five linked pictures are at the top right of every page in the district. These icons are Calendar, Directory, Staff, Parents, and Students. Click on Calendar to see the calendar for the school that you are visiting. Click on Directory to see a searchable staff and faculty directory. Employees of NACS can click on Staff to see a list of useful information and links that apply to you. Some of the information there can only be seen after you have logged onto the website. Parents can click on the Parents icon to see a list of links that apply to them. Students can click on the Students icon to see a list of links and information that apply to them. You can also change the layout to a daily view, weekly view, monthly view, or a list view by clicking on the corresponding buttons. Each school calendar will also include dates from the District calendar such as school holidays and end of grading periods.
Calendar
The school calendar can be accessed by clicking in the Calendar Global Icon, or through the Upcoming Events section. The Upcoming Events are located on the bottom right of each school's homepage. It will display the next five events on the calendar, and at the bottom of the page is a "View Calendar" link. When you open a school calendar, you will see a color coded display of upcoming events. If you click on "Customize Calendar View", which is located in the upper left hand corner of the calendar, you will be able to see how color code key.
Translator
At the bottom of every page is a box that says "Translate this page..." When you click on the box, and then choose a language, Google Translator will change the words on the website to the selected language, allowing for people of many languages to interact with the NACS website.
Quick Links
Each school will include the following Quick Links on the homepage, and some pages may have additional Quick Links.
PowerSchool
This website hosts the grade book for every teacher in NACS. When you click on this link and enter your user name and password, you will be able to see your grades if you are a student, or your child's grades. PowerSchool also lists all assignments, attendance, and many more features that teachers keep track of.
Lunch Menus
This link will quickly redirect you to the NACS Food Service page that lists each school's lunch menus. Some schools even have specific breakfast menus listed there as well.
Online Lunch Accounts
One feature that Meal Magic allows is greater accessibility to your child's lunch account. You can now go online and make deposits, check balances and see account history.
Newsletter
Each school creates a monthly newsletter to keep parents informed of what is coming up. This may include assemblies, after school events, news from teachers, important dates, or upcoming events. The quick link will take you to a list of all of the newsletters for the school year.
