• Northwest Allen County Schools has partnered with Safe Hiring Solutions, Inc. to provide Background Checks on prospective employees. Background Checks include a Criminal Background Check, State Child Protection Index Check, National Sex Offender Check, and Teacher License History Check (if applicable), on a pre-employment basis as required by Indiana law.

    Applicants will need to assemble important information prior to starting the Background Check process through Safe Hiring Solutions including:

    • Social Security Number
    • Teacher’s License Number (s) and State(s) of Issue, if applicable
    • Addresses, including County, of residence for the last 7 years
    • Form of payment (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover)
      • Cost: $28.85 for certified staff (plus $3.95 per each additional state teaching license)
      • $24.90 for non-certified staff
      • *Some county checks associated with the Child Protection Index Check may require an additional fee
