This year, English Learning students at Carroll Middle School and Maple Creek Middle School together participated in a study trip to Black Pine Animal Sanctuary (BPAS). In preparation for this trip, students chose one animal living at the sanctuary to research and wrote a brief report. All four language domains of speaking, listening, reading, and writing were covered in this project and students were able to apply their new learning by sharing facts about their animal during the guided tour. See photos from their visit.
