REGULAR MEETING

The Northwest Allen County Board of School Trustees met in regular session on Monday, November 25, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the Carroll High School Small Auditorium. Members present: Mary Wysong, John Hilger, Paul Sloffer, Ron Felger and Kent Somers. Also present: Chris Himsel, Bill Mallers, Lisa Harris, staff, students,parents, patrons and reporters.

Motions herewith mentioned are unanimous unless otherwise stated.

President Mary Wysong called the meeting to order. Motion to approve the minutes of the November 11, 2013 executive session and regular meeting as presented by John Hilger; seconded by Kent Somers. Motion carried.

COMMENDATIONS

Mr. Himsel read aloud and requested approval of the resolution in recognition of CHS Girls Cross Country team for earning a seventh place finish in the IHSAA Cross Country State Finals. Team members are Stacey Metzger, Madison Fruchey, Megan Doty, Kate Morris, Caitlyn Chastain, Londyn Wise, and Coral Whaley. Motion to approve by Paul Sloffer; seconded by Ron Felger. Motion carried.

Mr. Himsel read aloud and requested approval of the resolution in recognition of CHS Boys Cross Country team for earning a third place finish in the IHSAA Cross Country State Finals. Team members are Cameron Clements, Jacob Schmeling, Trevor Hamilton, Alec Kreilach, Bret Unger, Adam Kelty, and Ben Schwartz. Motion to approve by Kent Somers; seconded by John Hilger. Motion carried.

Mr. Himsel read aloud and requested approval of the resolution in recognition of CHS Marching Band, the Charger Pride, for earning the distinction of State Finalist for the first times ince 2006 and earning a 10th place finish in the Class A, large school division, at the ISSMA State Finals. Motion to approve by Paul Sloffer; seconded by Ron Felger. Motion carried.
